About

Brice Tucker is a Photojournalist currently based in Flint, Michigan. His interest in documentary photography began in high school and motivated him to study photojournalism at Central Michigan University. Through his time at CMU and after he has worked on developing his own personal style inspired by the work of Don McCullen, Peter Magubane, Gordon Parks, and Dorothea Lange. 

After college Tucker has worked as a freelance photographer, photographing news and real estate. In 2023 he worked for 6 months as a Multimedia Specialist intern at The Flint Journal and MLive Media Group. While there he worked as a community journalist covering daily life in Flint with dedication, passion and curiosity. In addition to his time in Flint, he also helped MLive’s state wide team with coverage of politics and breaking news, such as the Michigan State University shooting and its aftermath. Currently he is still working as a freelance news photographer. He also works as a commercial portrait and sports action photographer.

Tucker is passionate about being a community journalist and documenting social, environmental, and conflict based issues and how these issues effect different communities. Constantly interested in the complexities of the human condition, he is always ready to talk to others and learn more about their lives. He is also adept at wading through large crowds and making images in high pressure and chaotic environments.
